Rebuild story.

The house was originally built in 1983 as a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, split level house. In 1988, a master suite was put in with a staircase and a hall closet. We bought in 2007 and immediately tore off the back deck, which was not safe (and had no stairs leading to the ground), tore off the stairs (also not safe) to the front door over the garage door, removed the front door and rebuilt the back deck with the stairs leading up to it. We replaced and re-routed the gas line which was corroded. We also put in the new fence and enclosure at that time.

In 2010, we began the major remodel. We tore off the master suite down to the foundation and extended the kitchen and living room area by about 8 feet. The living room & dining area ceilings had been flat; we put in a vault and extended the roof line to cover part of the front deck. We extended the master suite area by about 12 feet toward the street and 8 feet toward the driveway.  We enlarged the master bathroom, and included an office, a wider staircase and the elevator. A new deck was built on top of the master suite with a closet and the bonus room off the deck.

In the larger bedroom on the other side of the house, we converted a walk-in closet into a half-bath. We also put in access to the attic space with a platform for storage. We replaced the sheet rock on all but three interior walls and replaced the roof, all the windows, sliding doors and the siding.

We then added all new landscaping and replaced the driveway.
